Part 1. Greenhouse gas emissions inventory
Yes
A copy of the most recent GHG emissions inventory:
A brief description of the methodology and/or tool used to complete the GHG emissions inventory:
To conduct the GHG inventory, CSUCI used the Sustainability Indicator Management & Analysis Platform (SIMAP) developed by the University of New Hampshire Sustainability Institute.
Has the GHG emissions inventory been validated internally by personnel who are independent of the GHG accounting and reporting process and/or verified by an independent, external third party?:
No
A brief description of the GHG inventory verification process:

A brief description of how the institution accounted for its Scope 3 emissions:
To account for waste emissions in Scope 3, we used available waste disposal data from the university's waste hauler. To account for commuting-related emissions, the university used data from an bi-annual commuter survey that is sent to all employees and student employees to gather information on how individuals travel to campus, how far they travel, and how often they travel, on a weekly basis. Finally, we included transportation and distribution losses in our Scope 3 emissions.

A brief description of the methodology(ies) the institution used to complete its air emissions inventory:
CSU Channel Islands commissioned a study to test air emissions from the boilers in the university's central plant. The test was performed by Montrose Air Quality Services.
Emissions weight was calculated using the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Boilers Air Emissions Calculator. We input total annual natural gas consumption of the boilers, along with the maximum heat rate for the boilers, for the calculator to compute the emissions in tons/year.
