A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
All freshman, entering graduate students, and transfer students attended the hybrid Orientation during the summer. Students were asked to bring their own water bottles and use the water refill hydration system, which results in a more sustainable campus. An online Orientation program was created to replace hard copy documents containing information necessary for students to prepare for orientation, greatly reducing paper consumption. Additionally, Facilities Services Sustainability program tables at New Student Orientation to welcome new students and tell them about the sustainability initiatives underway on campus.
