A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:
Although CI does not currently offer a bike share program, the university is evaluating the feasibility and benefits of implementing a program on campus.

Does the institution participate in a car sharing program?:
Yes

A brief description of the car sharing program:
CSUCI hosts two ZipCars for car sharing on campus for student, faculty, staff and visitor use. In 2019, CSUCI's Zipcar program reinforced the removal of 26 personally owned vehicles and Zipcar users reduced CO2 emissions by 462,200 lbs.

Yes

A brief description of the incentives for fuel efficient vehicles:
CSUCI has Low-Emitting Vehicle parking stalls for those with an eligible vehicle. The university has also positioned 4 of the electric vehicle recharging stations in the core of campus.

Does the institution have one or more Level 2 or Level 3 electric vehicle recharging stations that are accessible to student and employee commuters?:
Yes

A brief description of the electric vehicle recharging stations:
CSUCI currently has 9 Clipper Creek Level 2 recharging stations, at no charge to the customer as long as they have a valid parking permit. The university will also soon be adding another 6 charging ports for EVs.

Does the institution have incentives or programs to encourage employees to live close to campus?:
Yes

A brief description of the incentives or programs to encourage employees to live close to campus:
Reduced rates are offered to CSUCI staff and faculty who live in the residential area adjacent to campus, University Glen. Faculty and staff receive a 5% discount of market value and are given preference for occupancy when a unit becomes available.

Yes

A brief description of other programs or initiatives to encourage more sustainable modes of transportation and/or reduce the impact of student and employee commuting:
The bus is currently free for all college students in Ventura County through the Ventura County Transportation Commission's (VCTC) College Ride program with a bus pass activated college ID. In addition to this program CSUCI has chosen to pay for staff and faculty to ride the bus for free.The campus is also subsidizing the cost for a free trolley service that runs throughout downtown Camarillo. We also provide Dial-A-Ride, which is run through Camarillo Area Transit, at no charge with valid bus pass activation. Another service we provide is Vanpool and RideMatch (for carpooling) through VCTC. Finally, the campus continues to increase the number of Carpool Only parking spaces throughout the campus core, making premium parking available for carpoolers only.
