Yes

A brief description of steps taken to reduce hazardous, special (e.g. coal ash), universal, and non-regulated chemical waste:
CSUB operates through the Cal Recycle System, which requires annual reports of disposal rates (per capita) for campus users. Each year, the numbers are compared to the designated acceptable rates to ensure waste reduction.

A brief description of how the institution safely disposes of hazardous, universal, and non-regulated chemical waste:
North State Environmental, a professional waste business service, disposes of this waste every 6 months. CSUB follows their protocols for proper disposal.

A brief description of any significant hazardous material release incidents during the previous three years, including volume, impact and response/remediation:
There have been no significant release incidents in the past three years.

A brief description of any inventory system employed by the institution to facilitate the reuse or redistribution of laboratory chemicals:
Complete laboraory inventory is maintained by the staff of the NSME (Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Engineering) stockroom.

There is an e-waste recycling program at CSUB. Our Information Technology Services department removes all information from recycled materials before they are sent to Alianza Recycling and Recovery.
