Rowdy Refill Stations
A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
Associated Students, Inc., CSUB's student government organization, applied to and was awarded the $3,000 CSU Greenovation Grant and spent $20,000 of their funds to install 20 bottle filling stations on campus.
The Elkay brand refill stations are equipped with a ticker that counts each time 12 oz. of water is served. According to the cumulative tickers, the refill stations have diverted more than one quarter million plastic water bottles from possibly ending up in landfills.
