A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
Located on 1,438 acres in Los Angeles County, Cal Poly Pomona is known for its polytechnic identity and learn-by-doing approach to education. Faculty in all disciplines apply theory to practice, providing students with numerous opportunities to use their knowledge in hands-on projects, research collaborations, valuable internship and service-learning programs.
Which of the following features are present on campus and which are included within the institutional boundary?:
Present? | Included? | |
Agricultural school | Yes | Yes |
Medical school | No | No |
Other professional school with labs or clinics (e.g. dental, nursing, pharmacy, public health, veterinary) | Yes | Yes |
Museum | No | No |
Satellite campus | No | No |
Farm larger than 2 hectares or 5 acres | Yes | Yes |
Agricultural experiment station larger than 2 hectares or 5 acres | Yes | Yes |
Hospital | No | No |
The rationale for excluding any features that are present from the institutional boundary:
The University has acquired the Lanterman Developmental Center which closed in 2014. At this time, there is minimal utilization of the property and therefore was not included within this report. The site is separate from the main academic campus and outside the campus physical master plan. Additional information can be found at: https://www.cpp.edu/lanterman/index.shtml
