Waste & Recycling Overhaul

A brief description of the campaign:

The Office of Sustainability worked with the Associated Students to conduct an audit of all of the outdoor waste and recycling receptacles (+150) to right-size with new signage and placements.


A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign:

There was an astonishing 96% increase in recycling due to the changes made with this update.

Career Center’s Clothes Closet

A brief description of the campaign (2nd campaign):

The Clothes Closet service provides students an opportunity to receive advice from fashion stylists from the Apparel Merchandising students as well as receive free professional attire. In partnership with Broncos Care Basic Needs, the Clothes Closet Stipend Program was specifically created for students who require assistance obtaining professional clothing. Professional attire can be utilized for interviews, career fairs, and interviews. The Clothes Closet service is largely funded by donors.

Over 50 lbs./year in clothing is reutilized through this program.

Other campus programs including the expansion of food waste composting at all dining facilities, energy competitions in the dorms, and reusable container implementation at the dining commons.
