The President has pledged to eliminate Cal Poly Pomona’s greenhouse gas emissions over time. This included his forming a climate commitment task force to oversee the implementation of sustainability policies and procedures.
In addition, the Division of Student Affairs has formed a sustainability committee called the 'Go Green' Committee. This group works with all student services departments to find ways to improve sustainability practices and procedures.

The office activities include programs such as energy competitions, ReycleMania, community outreach, presentations, tabling events, and recycling material drives. Some accomplishments include waste diversion rate of over 65%, significant GHG reduction from fleet vehicle changes, and action plan implantation.
