Does the institution cover sustainability topics in new employee orientation and/or in outreach and guidance materials distributed to new employees, including faculty and staff?:

A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:

The New Hire Orientation presentation includes information about rideshare incentives.

Environmental Health & Safety leads a workshop in the new hire orientation program.

There are a variety of workshop presentations throughout the year designed to teach some aspect of sustainability to all interested students/faculty/staff, and are led by guest speakers or expert campus faculty and staff. These are offered either during the lunch hour or after hours.

The Faculty Center for Professional Development offered a faculty learning opportunity called "Sustainability in the Classroom" in fall 2009 & winter 2010. Six faculty members explored ways to incorporate the principles of sustainability into their classes.

The John T. Lyle Center for Regenerative Studies is listed as a "campus highlight" in the 2007-8 Faculty Resource Guide. http://www.csupomona.edu/~facultycenter/documents/facultyResources_guide_07-08.pdf
