A brief description of the water metering employed:
All the auxiliary buildings are metered and they are collected monthly for cost recovery. The university practice is to add water meters to all new and renovated buildings or as funding becomes available. Metering does occur at the well heads and at the MWD connection for domestic water. Recycled water is metered at the City point of connection. Recycled water sub-meters determine consumption by major zones across the campus.
