A brief description of the sustainable food and beverage purchasing program:

Since 2004, Cal Poly has been partnering with California Grown to promote environmental sustainability and improve local economy through emphasis on locally grown products.

Cal Poly Pomona Foundation Dining Services uses California grown produce whenever possible. The majority of fresh produce is grown locally for Cal Poly Pomona. Fresh eggs are purchased from Lakeview, Ca, a local City. Milk is purchased from local Rockview Farms or Alta Dena Dairy. Alta Dena milk comes from local family farmers under contract to Alta Dena.
