Does the institution have an active student group focused on sustainability?:

The name and a brief description of each student group:

The PoweSave Green Campus Program at Cal Poly Pomona works to reduce energy use on campus through a student-led campaign directed at other students, faculty, staff and the surrounding community. It focuses both on education and on specific projects on campus to change behaviors and "to demonstrate how energy and sustainability are integral to our society."

The Green Team is a student club that aims to infuse environmental awareness around campus and advocate for a more environmentally friendly Cal Poly Pomona. They hold events regularly, such as film viewings, Earth Week programming, guest speaker forums, and community dinners.

List up to 4 notable recent activities or accomplishments of student group(s):

-The Food Justice Club organized a student-run cafe, which is a cooperative kitchen producing fresh produce and simple foods to share with the campus community (Spring 2012).
-An annual local food fair is hosted as a collaboration between students and faculty of the Collins College and the School of Food and Nutrition, serving local organic meals to the campus community prepared by students.
-Members of the Green Team created a "gorilla garden" in abandoned planters in the administration building, in addition to art sculptures with moveable letters to covey messages about the garden.
