The field of Sustainable Energy Engineering is the core foundation of the immediate future growth in Egypt and surrounding region. Egypt is on its way to become the regional energy hub. This would only be possible by the hands of a new generation of qualified engineers in the fields of energy generation fromnew and renewable resources.

Civil infrastructure engineering is a fundamental and vital field that reflects the nation’s development owing to its major contribution in driving process wheel forward through urban renaissance. In practice, the civil infrastructure engineer is an essential member in various engineering projects with responsibilities including the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operation of large and permanent engineering projects of our civilization such as roads, highways, airports, water and wastewater treatment plants, water distribution networks, and sanitary sewers. Civil Infrastructure engineers are in demand wherever there are people.

Water Engineering & Environment WEE Program
A brief description of the undergraduate degree program (3rd program):
The mission of the WEE program is to serve the future development of Egypt,
Arab countries and, the Nile river basin countries by disseminating and developing
technical expertise capable of improving the physical infrastructure and addressing
environmental issues related to water resources development and utilization. This
will support sustainable water resources management to meet the present and
future water challenges. The Program aims at providing a well-rounded and
superior university engineering education with talented graduates and creative
engineers. The program also aims at preparing its graduates for broad and
dynamic career paths in civil engineering at large with a major specialty in
environmental water engineering.

The environmental planning and natural resources management specialization deals with the protection and stewardship of air, water, land, and other natural resources. Concerns include both the management of natural resources directly, as well as the mitigation of adverse impacts on these resources caused by human settlements and activities. The specialization offers an overview of key environmental issues and provides the theoretical, methodological, and legal background necessary for the planner to have an effective role in dealing with these issues.
