Public-Private Partnership Complete Streets Project

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

Williams Creek Consulting and Butler University completed the Sunset Avenue Gateway project, a green infrastructure project that introduced bike lanes and enhances walkability through the Butler-Tarkington neighborhood. This streetscape also helps manage stormwater with storm gardens and permeable asphalt. The project drains approximately 143,447 square feet or approximately 3 acres of impervious surface and reduces runoff in this area by 50%. New LED dark sky compliant light fixtures were installed on the streetscape to replace the existing metal halide street lights. It also included a bus pull off with pavers for adequate stormwater drainage.
