Continuous Automated Commissioning and Fault Detection Diagnostics

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

Bucknell began a partnership with Cimetrics in 2003. That relationship continues to this date and has expanded to encompass nearly all major buildings including our newest science building that opened in August 2019 (after this STARS reporting period). Cimetrics' Analytika platform continuously monitors the digital points within the expansive building automation system. That feedback data is used to identify potential faults that adversely impact energy usage. As of July 2018, 420 system issues have been detected and corrected, creating a cost avoidance of over $800K/yr while improving IEQ and safety. Due to the success of this program, additional buildings/data points have been and will continue to be added. A truly incredible and powerful system that supports our energy program and actually educates those that use it, including faculty and students. The system takes our building automation system to a higher level.
