Bryn MAwr uses an approach that has many elements of a standardized OHSMS, but it has not formalized its approach in accordance with recognized standards such as ISO 45001 or OHSAS 18001. Current elements follow OSHA standards (general industry and construction). Elements that currently exist include programs to identify and control hazards and prevent injuries and diseases. These include laboratory safety, ergonomics, AEDs, environmental, and asbestos safety programs. Programs include guidance, training, and auditing such as annual lab inspections and monthly AED inspections. Employees are also directed to seek assistance from the Environmental Health and Safety Manager for all safety-related concerns.

All employees are trained to be report all injuries within 24 hours, via the Report of Work-related injury or illness form https://www.brynmawr.edu/inside/offices-services/environmental-health-safety/what-do-if-you-are-injured-work
Tracking of incidents and injuries is obtained on the claims platform ORIGAMI which is used to manage the workers compensation incidents.
Incidents are reviewed by the office of Risk management, Human Resources, and Environmental Health and Safety. Recordable incidents are tracked and calculated within the office of Risk Management who utilize the OSHA 300 log.
