(1) Reviewed every faculty member's profile page to see their recent publications (2019-2022) and identified the articles or books that were aligned with STARS definitions of sustainability-inclusive or sustainability-focused projects.
(2) Identified the departments where these faculty reside.
(3) For the total departments with any kind of research, it was assumed that all departments have on average 11 researchers among their ranks (13 departments x 11 = 143 research faculty.
