The university has an incentive program for developing creative and innovative courses. Incentives for faculty members who participate in the program could include course releases, innovation grants, small stipends, or specialized off-campus training opportunities.

Incentives for faculty members who participate in the program could include course releases, small stipends, or specialized off-campus training opportunities.

Additionally, the Innovation Center provides small grants to develop new approaches for teaching. These grants could be utilized for developing sustainability-related projects. Director Michael Roberto has indicated that sustainability-related project ideas would be welcomed by the faculty review committee. An example of the innovation grants was an award for developing four "sustainability modules" for utilization within any class at the university. The first of these modules has been completed and is focused on renewable energy, intended for insertion into any class at Bryant.

Also, in conjunction with the new learning facility on campus, faculty have been asked to submit ideas for utilizing the new Academic Innovation Center (see Optional information below). These new adaptations for courses could also be used to expand coverage of sustainability themes. The following link explains these opportunities:

The present faculty incentive program for new course development could be adapted to provide encouragement for new sustainability courses, or for adding sustainability focus to existing courses.
