A brief description of the graduate degree program (1st program):
Bryant's Master of Science in Global Environmental Studies (MSGES) qualifies graduates with science backgrounds to understand and attack international challenges from a sustainable systems perspective, and prepares those with business backgrounds to develop intervention skills for dealing with environmental management problems. Students work directly with research faculty in a multidisciplinary department, gaining extensive hands-on experience in well-equipped laboratories. The program includes collaboration with professors and students at the China University of Geosciences (CUG) at Wuhan, including study abroad opportunities for U.S. students, and a student exchange program for Chinese students. One graduate of this program is completing a PhD at a research institute in Holland, modeling climate change scenarios, and a second graduate is employed at Hanna Instruments in Rhode Island, where she designs instrument applications for customers. Two graduates have earned a Certificate of Graduate Studies (CGS) in Sustainable Practices.
