A brief description of how the institution ensures compliance with sustainable building operation and maintenance guidelines and policies:
PURPOSE: This plan establishes the procedures to be used at Brunswick Community College when performing operations and maintenance functions.
SCOPE: The content of this plan applies to all operations and maintenance functions performed at the Brunswick Community College level. It applies to and is carried out by all BCC maintenance, ground construction, custodial, employees and subcontractor employees.

Main campus buildings have had renovations - Building A and B has replaced 30% of the lighting to be more energy efficient, Building C has changed 60% of the lighting and Building D is 15% complete. The Fitness and Aquatic Center is new construction, but is not energy efficient. BETC has not made any changes. The Leland Center has been completely renovated and has 100% energy efficient lighting, has low-flow water throughout and motion sensor lighting in the bathrooms.
