Instructors were asked if any of the courses they teach incorporate sustainability as it relates to social (people/communities), economic (financial resoures), and environmental (natural resources)factors within the classes.
Instructors responded with the courses they deemed appropriate to be considered as courses teaching Sustainability within their department and experience.

Sustainability-focused courses "concentrate on the concepts of sustainability, including its social, economic and environmental dimensions, or examine an issue or topic using sustainability as a lens"...

According to Sharon Thompson, "we have not developed a definition directly related to curriculum instruction. Now that our mission and goals have been approved by the Board of Trustees, I expect sustainability will be part of our benchmarks and incorporated into our strategic plan, given it is part of goal eight. These two initiatives will help us move forward with STARS ER-5 criteria." [email, February 7, 2012]
