A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
In 2020 the University administered its first Campus Climate Survey. Conducted by Rankin & Associates Consulting, the “Assessment of the Learning, Living & Working Environment” survey utilized 119 questions to assess our student and employee’s personal experiences and perceptions of campus climate, the workplace climate for employees and perceptions regarding institutional actions that affect climate. With over 3,000 respondents this survey provided valuable insight into our employees’ feelings and perceptions regarding their workplace and will help to shape our policies moving forward. Formal metrics to track the university’s response to the results of this survey are currently under development and progress will be publicly shared. A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:
The last employee engagement survey was completed in 2017. The intent was to conduct the survey every 3 years; however, the pandemic has put those plans on hold. Brock is currently working to develop a fulsome people strategy that will also examine our employee feedback process and lay a plan for our future employee engagement work. "
