The United Way of the Lower Mainland in British Columbia is a community impact organization that has been helping people in the Metropolitan Vancouver area for 90 years. They work with local agencies, governments, donors and community members to build our vision of a healthy, caring, inclusive community.
BCIT has supported the United Way for over 20 years and runs an annual United Way campaign with many staff-led activities that raise money. Staff fundraising initiatives include pancake breakfasts, 50/50 draws, silent auctions and trivia events.
BCIT is fortunate to have such a willing, dedicated and talented group of staff to volunteer for and champion the United Way cause to benefit those in need. Through the generosity of the members of the United Way campaign committee, and the rest of the BCIT community, BCIT was able to donate $37,089.79 to United Way BC following the wrap-up of the 2023 campaign.
