Does the institution host a food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource focused on alleviating food insecurity, hunger and poverty among students?:
Yes

A brief description of the food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource:

BYU’s food and housing insecurity program is managed by the Dean of Students Office, located in the Wilkinson Student Center. Beyond providing direct assistance, the program leverages a suite of campus services that can advise and assist students holistically. All assistance is free and confidential. Additionally, enrolled students may receive assistance for food and housing from local congregations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, BYU’s sponsoring institution, even if they are not members of the Church. This assistance is funded by fast offerings, or voluntary contributions made by members of the Church who skip two meals per month and donate the cost of those meals toward serving those in need. When additional resources are required, BYU works with local food pantries––Community Action Services and Food Bank, Tabitha’s Way, Food and Care Coalition––and federal programs SNAP and WIC. Each of these organizations have offices that are accessible by UTA bus service, which is free to ride with a BYU ID.
