A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contribute to the diversion rate for construction and demolition waste:
Brandeis recycled the vast majority of construction materials- estimated at over 90%. Massachusetts state law also requires such efforts. Complete ton reports of waste from the 2009-2010 reporting year were not available at this time. Tons of material donated were available and is listed in the waste diversion category. In the future we will work to include this data in the STARS report.
