A brief description of the policy:
Facility Services’ vehicles shall not sit idling for longer than 5 minutes except in the case of snow removal operations. This policy is consistent with the Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L. Chapter 90, Section 16A) that state, “no vehicle should idle for longer than 5 minutes unless it is absolutely
necessary.”
We also work with Shuttle vendors to prevent idling.
