A brief description of the technology used:
In 2010 we replaced 350 standard light bulbs in the Ziv Residence Quad- a grouping of four buildings- with LED lighting by the Ecolamp (TM) company. The kWH reductions are estimated at over 77% per year, saving over $12,000 in electricity costs and much more in re-lamping costs as these bulbs will last for many years. NSTAR electric company help provide rebates for over 50% of the cost of this LED project.
