A brief description of the institution's indoor air quality plan, policy, and/or practices:
Brandeis follows all state regulations for air quality.The practice for handling IAQ issues has been to to respond to any concerns either phoned in or through the work order system. We respond with HVAC technicians and when necessary our University Health and Safety Officer. We also have an Industrial Hygienists that we can call in to help us with specific measurement and action plans as needed. We do not maintain any continuous monitoring of IAQ in occupied spaces(except as required in some research areas). Some of our HVAC systems have CO2 controls that help maintain outside air ventilation based on occupancy.We make sure that lab spaces remain negative to adjacent occupied areas. Industrial Hu
