A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Motivating students to make behavioral changes required some out of the box thinking at Brandeis. Using tools from the Community Based Social Marketing framework, Student Eco-Reps and the Sustainability Coordinator developed an innovative program, "Certified Green Room". Students choose 15 actions that they do in their rooms and receive a sticker and access to prizes, events and more. Over 30% of students declared a certified green room or suite in 2009-2010 school year. We look forward to program continuing to grow. We have all ready heard that other schools want to implement our great idea.
