Our organic landscape management area program entails manual removal of invasive plant species using staff and student volunteers, no pesticide use whatsoever, and application of natural mulch as needed.

Basic principles of the IPM lands management program are the following:
Minimized pesticide use and use of pre-emergent treatments
Maintaining healthy plants
Choosing pest resistant plant varieties

Applying products when fields are not in use for extended periods of time and keeping students and others off the fields for as long as possible after applications
