A brief description of the food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource:

The Falcon Food Pantry supports BGSU students, faculty and staff.. All members of the BGSU community are welcome to stop by once a week to select a bag of food and hygiene items. BGSU ID required and a digital tracking system is used. Located in Central Hall 109

Types of items they offer:

  • Non-perishable food items (e.g. pasta, canned vegetables, soup, etc.)
  • Fridge and Freezer items (e.g. eggs, cheese, frozen meals)
  • Diapers
  • Hygiene items (e.g. shampoo, body wash toothpaste, pads, tampons, etc.)
  • Allergy-friendly items (e.g. gluten-free)
  • International items (e.g. rice, sauces, spices, etc.)

They have a "Sustainability Shelf" for items past their best by date within one year of the current date.
