Bowdoin is a participating campus in the Maine Campus Compact’s Maine Campuses Won’t Wait collaboration in support of Governor Janet Mills's Maine Won’t Wait climate action plan. This initiative kicked off with a virtual Presidential Summit in February 2022 with Governor Janet Mills, members of her team, and other participating campuses.

Yes

A brief description of how the institution engages in public policy advocacy for sustainability at the national level:

Bowdoin College joined with thirty–two peer institutions in an amicus curiae brief filed with the Supreme Court of the United States in support of Harvard College and the University of North Carolina and policies that allow admissions officers at both institutions to consider race as a factor in the review of a college application.
