A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:

Founded in 1794, Bowdoin College is a small, undergraduate liberal arts college located on a semi-urban campus, just outside of the Brunswick, Maine downtown area. The main campus is made of mostly traditional, older buildings centered around a main quad. It consists of academic buildings, student housing, athletic facilities, libraries and organic garden fields. Bowdoin also owns research facilities on Orr's Islands in Harpswell Maine, and on Kent Island, Canada, which are included in the institution's boundary. The outing club's cabin in Monson, Maine is not included in the institutional boundary.

We have excluded a cabin in northern Maine that is utilized by the outing club. It is heated by wood heat and there is no electricity on site.
