Has the institution developed a definition of sustainability research?:
Yes

A copy of the institution's definition of sustainability research:

Sustainability research relates to or focuses on topics and questions that address aspects of how to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future life generations to meet their essential needs as well. Sustainability research addresses ecological integrity, social justice, and/or the interconnections of ecological integrity and social justice with economic prosperity.

Has the institution identified its sustainability research activities and initiatives?:
Yes

A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the inventory:

During the spring semester 2013, The Dean of Student Affairs office worked with the Curriculum and Educational Policy Committee to formalize a definition for sustainability for both course work and research. Once established, the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs sent an e-mail to all faculty asking them to self-identify if they believed any of their courses fell under the categories of sustainability related or sustainability focused. They also asked faculty to self-identify if they thought their scholarly research projects or grants met the criterion for sustainability research. A follow up, targeted email was sent to faculty based upon an initial inventory of courses and research.

Does the institution make its sustainability research inventory publicly available online?:
No
