The Advisory Committee on Diversity and Community advises offices in charge of supporting the diverse identity groups that constitute our campus community, on matters pertaining to the academic and social experience of students, faculty and staff. The Committee advises primarily on issues related to gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, and social or geographical origin.

The Committee is composed of three faculty, four students, three staff (two administrative, one support), and ex officio: Special Assistant to the President for Multicultural Affairs, Associate Dean for Multicultural Student Programs, Director of the Women’s Resource Center, Director of the Resource Center for Sexuality and Gender Diversity, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and the Director of Human Resources.

Leana Amaez is a general adviser to historically underrepresented student groups. She creates campus wide programs to benefit minority students, but also personally advises students and their families. Roy Partridge acts as a special adviser to the President for multicultural affairs.
