A brief description of the metering system:
Bowdoin's Building Dashboard records the electricity use of many Bowdoin buildings in real time. It allows users to compare energy usage between building and during campus energy saving competitions. Steam meters that measure input from the on campus steam plant are installed in a few buildings on campus and several more buildings are currently being installed with steam metering devices. Buildings that receive natural gas deliveries are individually metered.
