A brief description of the institution's indoor air quality plan, policy, and/or practices:
Bowdoin College follows the air quality standards described by the Maine Bureau of Health, the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-conditioning Engineers, the Occupational Safety, and Health Administration Permissible Exposure Limits, and/or the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists Threshold Limit Values depending on the purpose of the building. This includes automated air quality testing throughout campus as well as regular testing in buildings without automated testing capabilities. Complaints can be reported to the Environmental Health and Safety Manager.
