A brief description of the institution’s green infrastructure and LID practices:
Bow Valley College's South Campus roof is 40% vegetated with native prairie plants, which act as a repository for rain. Any additional rainwater is collected and stored in a cistern until it is released back to the City's stormwater system after a rain event. This helps lessen flash flooding events in our local rivers.
