The Sustainability Coordinator created the course inventory by communicating directly with all Deans and Directors at the College. A course was included if it incorporated the following concepts: conservation (energy & water), energy efficiency, sustainability as a discussion or assignment topic, corporate social responsibility, environmentally-friendly behaviour, sustainable procurement, natural processes, or social interactions with the natural world.
How were courses with multiple offerings or sections counted for the figures reported above?:

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
In Bow Valley College's Workplace Skills Development program, staff develop curriculum, workshops, and assessments related to workplace skills for clients external to the College. Sustainability concepts are often incorporated into these materials. For example, a recent project involved creating curriculum for youth preparing for entrance into the skilled trades. Information on an environmentally-friendly hair salon and an activity about responsible land use planning using Lego were incorporated.
