A brief description of the signage that highlights sustainability features on campus:
The Center for Computing & Data Sciences has digital signage on all occupied floors that showcase sustainability elements of the University's most sustainable building to date, including floor-by-floor waste data. In addition, there is a large interactive screen in the lobby of the building that provides live data and also informs visitors of the building's sustainability elements.

Throughout the campus, BU Sustainability displays informative Zero Waste signage on our BigBellies on all three campuses. The messaging on these waste bins focuses on BU's Zero Waste Plan and initiatives.

Sargent College, the School of Social Work, and the College of General Studies have teamed up with BU Sustainability to create informational and behavioral signage for the inhabitants of the building. The LEED certified Makechnie Study Center has eight signs explaining the low-impact, local, and reclaimed materials used in construction. Behavioral signs are placed on each floor to inform employees and students about lessening their environmental impact through simple daily actions, such as taking the stairs.

Additionally, digital, touch-screen storyboards provide real-time utility data and green building features in multiple buildings.
