A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :
Human Resources offers professional development courses to all faculty and staff. One sustainability seminar titled “Greening Your Office” was offered by either the Sustainability Director, or Assistant Director every semester through 2015. This seminar would teach employees how to save energy, reduce waste, recycle, and purchase greener office products while also teaching about sustainable communications, activities, and workflows. This training is now offered exclusively through the Green Office and Green Department Certification programs, as one-on-one training and certification has proven more effective.
