A brief description of the pre-consumer food waste composting program:
Dining Services began pre-consumer food waste composting in 2007 in a few locations on campus. Since then, we have expanded to 90% of our locations across campus. This figure will improve with a new LEED registered dining facility under construction that will consolidate three older East Campus dining facilities into a modern facility that takes advantage of current efficient, sustainable technologies.
