A brief description of how the assessment was developed:
The 2011 assessment was developed using the template for our annual sustainability survey from the year before. We adjusted the survey according to consideration of comments on the previously administered survey.

The assessment was administered through the management of Boston University. The management e-mailed the survey to every student/faculty/staff and anyone with a BU e-mail address.

A brief summary of results from the assessment:
Some of the results found that poll takers care most about energy conservation, alternative energy, and pollution prevention, and that less than 15% of survey takers drive alone to work. The survey also measured people’s knowledge about recycling, waste reduction, water conservation, and energy conservation.
