A brief description of the themed housing:
Earth House, one of the specialty houses at Boston University, was created to foster the interests of students who have demonstrated a passion for the environment. Students with a strong interest in areas such as climate change, renewable energy, biodiversity, and sustainability live with others who share their passion and become leaders for sustainability initiatives on campus and beyond.
Some of the events that took place at the Earth House in 2010 included tracking energy use with Kill-a-Watt Meters, measuring water consumption, and screening documentaries about issues of sustainability.
