A brief description of the institution’s green infrastructure and LID practices:
LID efforts are focused towards design principles that can be utilized at the site-level to control stormwater and strive to replicate the pre-development hydrology of the site. Green infrastructure generally refers to a broader, big picture view of a community or watershed and focuses on a coordinated effort of the University to employ these practices along with involvement in land conversation.

A brief description of the institution’s rainwater management policy, plan, and/or guidelines that supports the responses above:
Facilities Services sees stormwater as a resource and ecological service rather than a waste product. Facilities Services seeks to manage and utilize this resource efficiently by considering stormwater impacts in grounds maintenance practices, and allowing stormwater to follow natural hydrological pathways to the extent possible.
