For faculty and staff Boston College has an Executive Director of the Office for Institutional Diversity, Diversity Steering Committee, and Diversity Advisory Committee. Executive Director overseas the administration of policies, programs, and trainings related to diversity, equity, inclusion for faculty and staff. The Divesity Steering Committee support the initiatives of the Office for Institutional Diversity, and the Diversity Advisory Committee is made up of Affinity Group representatives and provides OID with informaton on awareness and opportunities in the areas of divesity, equity and inclusion that impact their members and the greater BC community. The Director of Thea Bowman AHANA Intercultural Center works with in Student Affairs to support students with the VP of Student Affairs. The Executive Director does consult and support with Student Affairs on divesity, equity and inclusion issues.

A brief description of the institution’s cultural competence trainings and activities for each of the groups identified above:
All Freshman are required to take Cultural Competence Training through an online module Diversity.edu which became mandatory in June 2018. Most sophomores, juniors and seniors have taken "Campus of Difference" or Montserrat offerings cultural competence training. All faculty and staff have participated in a cultural competence training that is required through an online Discriminatory Harrassment module. Optional, but very well attended programs include: Diversity Modules, Cultural Competence Engagement Module, Affiliates, and Unconscious Bias. The Institution offers a broad range of cultural competence trainings and workshops across campus that enable participants to acquire the knowledge, language, behavioral and cultural skills needed to navigate within a diverse and inclusive community. Cultural Competence training is embedded in all programs and educational initiatives offered through Human Resources Department (OID and OED. Trainings and workshops include, Unconscious Bias in Interviewing for faculty, Understanding and recognizing microaggressions and their impact. The Cultural Competence Engagement Modules (CCEM),   CCEM is offered as a six (6) part program and incorporates the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) tool that assesses how one experiences difference.
