We included tenure track and non-tenure track faculty. Within non-tenure track there are full-time professors of the practice, Visiting Assistant Professors, fellows and adjuncts. We included all faculty who are listed on the Environmental Studies affiliated faculty. We also searched on department websites to identify faculty who self describe their research as having to do with some element of sustainability (environmental research and social justice connected to environment).

According to the BC Fact Book there were 833 full time faculty at Boston College in 2017-2018.
