Sustainability Governance Council
A brief description of the institution’s featured program, initiative, or accomplishment:
The Sustainability Governance Council launched in February 2020 as a presidential initiative to support a campus-wide decision making structure dedicated to sustainability. This council includes participation from all levels of campus including professional and classified staff, faculty, students, community members, and alumni. The first goal of the council was to collect the data for the STARS report, and the next objective is to create a campus-wide Sustainability Action Plan to present to the university executive committee. The Sustainability Governance Council exemplifies inclusive decision-making and a integrated commitment to a sustainable future.
