Has the institution engaged in a structured assessment process during the previous three years to improve diversity, equity and inclusion on campus?:
Yes

A brief description of the assessment process and the framework, scorecard(s) and/or tool(s) used:
The basis for our assessment is the university’s strategic plan. As part of this plan, we conducted a Campus Climate Survey in the Spring of 2020, from which we received the results from in the fall of 2020.

We are also preparing for a Resiliency Survey for Fall 2023. The goal is to determine campus need for mental health support. Since underrepresented groups are, in a post-Covid climate, generally in need of more support, this survey is related to DEI.

Does the assessment process address campus climate by engaging stakeholders to assess the attitudes, perceptions and behaviors of employees and students, including the experiences of underrepresented groups?:
Yes

Does the assessment process address student outcomes related to diversity, equity and success?:
Yes

Does the assessment process address employee outcomes related to diversity and equity?:
Yes

A brief description of the most recent assessment findings and how the results are used in shaping policy, programs, and initiatives:
While students noted the campus’s lack of diversity, most also noted they were comfortable having conversations with others on campus whose views and experience differed.

To address the campus's lack of diversity, the Opportunity Center, as well as it's committee, was instituted to help invite, support, and maintain a diverse campus community.

Are the results of the most recent structured diversity and equity assessment shared with the campus community?:
Yes

A brief description of how the assessment results are shared with the campus community:
