No written policies, plans or guidelines, but green infrastructure and LID practices are used
A brief description of the institution’s green infrastructure and LID practices:
Although there is no written policy on rainwater management, Binghamton University has incorporated rainwater harvesting systems with some of our newly constructed buildings. Green roofs were installed on Engineering & Science Building (2009) and Smart Energy Building (2017). Additionally a total of 3,000,000 gallons of Rain water collection and reuse systems generates sufficient grey water for cooling tower, water feature and toilet flushing in Center of Excellence and Smart Energy Buildings.
